think of the uPro GPS.
We think very highly of the uPro GPS with its incredible graphics and sophisticated software. This is certainly taking golf technology to the next level.
Where do we begin?
Probably the most talked about point of the uPro (after the graphics) is the costing structure.
There is no annual fee and course downloads are paid for individually for Pro Mode whilst all courses for Basic Mode are downloaded for free.
On Purchasing your uPro you get one free Pro Mode course - supposedly to tempt you to download all courses in this pretty impressive format! Excellent marketing in our opinion and why not? The target market is those people who want the best that money can buy.
In basic mode the graphics are presented as one dimensional and show distances to various parts of the hole in play (hazard view) as well as distances to the front, center and back of the green (green view).
In Pro mode you get to fly over the hole in play! A video view shows you in great detail what lies ahead. This is very similar to how they do it on TV when they "take you through the hole".
The cost of downloading courses is as follows:
For those that play only one course there is of course no fee as one course is free and is delivered in Pro Mode.
If however you play 10 or even 20 courses on a regular annual basis your costs are limited to a one time $60.00 or $80.00. Considering the target market and the quality of what you are getting these are not excessive costs.
In addition to these wonderful graphics distances to all hazards and features are included. There is a further feature called Anypoint Mode which will give you the exact distance from anywhere on the course to any landing point you may select. Wow!
The uPro GPS can be used as a digital scorecard and will store all your statistics for later analysis.
We cannot recommend the uPro enough for those who are not too budget conscious.
