What We Think Of The iGolf Caddie II.

This is a  ruggedly built, easy to use unit at a very competitive price.  The initial cost and unique annual subscription plan makes it a very attractive proposition for those with a budget under $250.00.
The IGolf Caddie II is ideal for the serious golfer who wants to be able to plot up to 8 positions per hole and requires the versatility offered by an external power source. The convenience of being able to carry a spare set of AA batteries means the unit can also stay in the bag.
Highly recommended.

Overview:

A great GPS from the iPlay stable that has all the functionality of its smaller stable mate plus the ability to store 40 courses on the unit.
The iGolf Caddie II fits comfortably in your pocket and will not lose the signal.
Having it with you at all times, whether carting or walking, means you can whip it out at any time for instant use.  No waiting for it to locate the signals again.
Moving from one hole to the next is simple - just click the blue button on the side  once and you are instantly transported to the next hole.
All in all a very easy to use Golf GPS that delivers on providing the golfer with the information he (or she) needs to complete the hole in the least amount of strokes.
Distances to the front, centre and back of the green are included and up to 8 different points can be mapped by the player on each hole. No more running around looking for sprinkler heads with distances on them and then measuring off to your ball.  Using a Caddie II is like having Steve Williams at your side all day.
The iGolf Caddie II can be used anywhere in the world and is ideal for the frequent traveller.
The Caddie II includes the Shot Distance Function giving you exact yardages of how far you hit each club.  The more you use this function the more familiar you will become with your own game - you will learn exactly what club you need fo any distance.
The iGolf Caddie II cannot be used to keep score and is not able to keep statistics of fairways and greens in regulation or the number of putts per round.
Courses are downloaded from iPlay and stored in your iGolf Caddie II -  which stores up to 40courses - and on your PC.  Once courses are downloaded you retain ownership of them - see details under annual membership and how it works below.

How Does The  Annual Membership Fee Work?

The annual membership fee allows you to download and map up to 100 courses during the year of membership. If you play more than that in a year please can you tell us what you do for a living as we would love to do the same?.
Once you have downloaded courses they are stored on your own PC and they effectively "belong" to you.  What this means is that you do not need to renew your annual membership to retain your courses or to use your iGolf Caddie II.

How Will It Benefit My Golf Game?

The iGolf Caddie II provides distances from tee to  the front center and back of the green.  Further points (up to 8) can be added by you on each hole. Knowing exactly how far you hit each club will boost your confidence as it eliminates the concern of "do I have the right club?"
The iGolf Caddie II can do nothing about your slice or hook but you should never be short again and you will know exactly how far you need to carry the ball to clear or avoid hazards.   You will notice an improved performance in your game from the very first time you use an iGolf Caddie II - this could be by as much as 5 shots or more.
Using any golf GPS will also speed up your round.

Is The Screen Easy To Read?

The 120 X 60 pixel high resolution screen with a backlight facility makes  it a very easy screen to read under all lighting conditions

What Is The Power Source And How Long Does It Last?

The iGolf Caddie II is powered by 2 AA batteries that will provide you with 14 hours of use - that's enough for three rounds of golf.

How Accurate Is The iGolf Caddie II And Why?

With 20 satellites to select from the iGolf Caddie II is amongst the most accurate around.  Distances are accurate to within 1 - 3 yards.  Good enough for us!
